You put the demo disc into your UltraJoy DreamBrick²⁰⁰⁰
"SPEED...?"
Your cousin shipped out for boot camp and left you with his brand new game machine and the accompanying demo disc by some new publisher you've never heard of - "YXNG GOD". I guess they must be giving some new indie developer a shot.
Whatever - the cover art looks fire and the title seemed pretty enticing. It's been a boring summer so far and all that A.I. and virtual reality slop just wasn't doing it for you.
Plus, this machine was state of the art and you were ready to to have your mind blown.
You pick the first game and press start.
[DREAMCAST 0:00]

White light pours out of the screen smoothly interlacing into a beautiful neon raceway shaped like a half-pipe. The music hits in tandem as you find yourself strapped into some kind of turbo rocket machine. You hit the throttle and the drums (extra crispy) blast out of your thruster propelling you
500+ MPH down the tube. Legato synths pirouette out of the horns and tweeters built into the course. Every riff of the creamy-toned synthesizer modulates the lights outlining the edge of the track as you zoom down the raceway.

[1:38]
Enemy blasters sound in stereo around you. A futuristic sine wave tickles past your ears.
But wait, what enemies? Just as you realize you're not racing against anyone the course shoots up and disappears beneath you as you enter into hyper space you're ejected out of your rocket machine and the next game begins.... [BASS 0:00]
Floating weightless in a spacesuit your gaze is locked upon a seemingly random array of stars and celestial bodies.
The stars shift around you as synths decorate the sonic space with a staccato assault. Harmonies melt into the next one as your mind begins to disintegrate.

The planets begin rearranging and throbs with the ultimate bass. Each bump sends you colliding off of the next cosmic rock, some sort of little human bean caught up in the astral pinball machine. The gameplay is a little unorthodox but the sound design has you in an absolute chokehold.
[0:27]
A white hole opens and spits out endless liquid rhythms and vocals from the DMT realm. Alien space love sounds synesthetically blast from star to star, creating powerful sound waves rearranging the chemistry of your inner workings. [1:50]
The harmony implodes into a gravity portal as the fabric of your being de-atomizes and briefly, for one moment, everything goes black.
"What kind of game is this?!"
.....

[BEING 0:00]
A holy AUM emits from a synth in the darkness. Tiny grains of matter materialize and magnetize to the center of your gaze. Primal percussion morphs into psychedelic bird calls. The world is growing anew around you. Electronic sounds bubble up to the surface of the water, the soundscape is colorful and manifesting a new reality, a new way of being.
[1:19]
A drum fill strikes like every lightning storm from one hundred thousand years condensed into a single bar of music. Tectonic shifts. Mountains Rise. Hi hats bludgeon the resistant mind.
[2:26]
The song of the wind flows down from the newly formed mountains, pristine goliaths born of the incredible wavs. Synths pitter into the upper octaves of reality and exotic flora is coaxed into existence.

As the music draws your consciousness deeper into the scene before you a small village emerges from the beautiful madness before your eyes...
"Wait...that's....my...hou"
But before you finish the sentence the camera pans into the door, where you yourself are playing your new game machine and jams itself into your ear, through the cochlea, directly into the auditory nerve as it jolts you back awake to the present moment. Your consciousness flashes back to the NOW almost like waking from a dream. A bit hazy, you try to remember what you were supposed to do today and find yourself in your room with your UltraJoy DreamBrick²⁰⁰⁰ and your brand new demo disc....
"SPEED?....I wonder what this is all about..."
